Eggspectation
The design for Eggspectation proves to be a well-worked example of creating an open and spacious ambiance within a relatively constrained footprint.

Guided by the client's desire for a sense of openness, the design housed a range of innovative strategies to achieve this goal. One of the key design elements was the incorporation of reflective mirrors in the form of arches, strategically placed to complement the windows. This strategic use of mirrors created the illusion of increased depth and openness, effectively expanding the perceived size of the interior spaces. Additionally, the installation of automatic awnings catered to the outdoor environment, providing a comfortable dining experience even during the harsh summer and rainy seasons.

To further enhance the open spatial layout, the architects opted steel framed stairs instead of regular concrete stairs, which helped to avoid visual hindrances in the narrow spaces. As a contrast to the overall linear design, the team introduced curvilinear design elements on the floor and ceiling, breaking the impact of the straight lines and adding a dynamic touch to the interiors. Recognizing the importance of natural light and views, the design features full-height windows that seamlessly integrate the lush green trees outside, blurring the boundaries between the indoor and outdoor environments. This strategic placement of windows not only enhanced the sense of openness but also created a calming and rejuvenating atmosphere for the diners. Through the thoughtful integration of reflective mirrors, strategic use of space, and the incorporation of natural light and views, the architects successfully crafted an open and inviting dining experience that not only addresses the client's requirements but also elevates the overall ambiance, creating a welcoming and memorable dining destination.
